Sérgio Maria is Globo’s Director of Advertising Products & Services and has over 20 years of experience in the area. Between 2000 and 2002, he joined the IT Business team at Citigroup and held IT and Marketing management positions at Oi. He gained international relevance working at British Telecom as a British Chevening Scholar and, in 2006, he became the Product Manager at iG. He joined Google in early 2007 as manager of Strategic Partners in Brazil, taking over the global partnerships area in Latin America in subsequent years. In 2019, he joined Globo as an agent of innovation and digital transformation. The executive has a degree in Computer Science and a postgraduate degree in Management and Finance, both from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He also holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology and Communication from Coventry University, in addition to having courses in communication and relationship from the Wharton School, and having participated in Fintech programs at the University of Oxford and in Advisor Development from Fundação Dom Cabral.
