Marcelo F. Moreno

Associate Professor, Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF)

Marcelo F. Moreno has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at UFJF since 2011, where he is part of the permanent staff of the Graduate Program in Computer Science. He holds a Masters (2002) and Doctorate (2008) in Computer Science from PUC-Rio. He is Rapporteur on Issue 13/16 (Multimedia application platforms and end systems for IPTV) of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU-T) and Co-chair of the Intersectoral Group on Broadcast-Broadband Integration (IRG-IBB). He is also coordinator of the Middleware WG and member of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Digital TV System Forum (SBTVD). His main area of interest is Computer Networks/Multimedia Systems, with a focus on infrastructure for multimedia communication, quality of service, presentation machines and hypermedia modeling/authoring.
