In this module, SET Counselor Marco Tulio and SET Radio Group Coordinator Eduardo Cappia chat with José Francisco Alvarenga, Sector Director of Linha Marrom – National Association of Manufacturers of Electrical and Electronic Products. In the conversation, the strength of the radio as a device and also as embedded in other devices is mentioned, since 17,400,000 portable receivers entered the market within a year. Another important fact is that there is a national production of, on average, two and a half million devices in the same period, most of them already with the extended range. Alvarenga clarifies the functioning of the auto radio multimedia business model in Brazil, also mentioning the challenges of competition with other countries.
